Do you know someone who's encouraged you to play, made a difference in tennis, or just always on hand to help out. Perhaps you know a coach who’s made you feel special or maybe it’s your club that does that little bit extra to make you feel welcome, if so why not nominate them for a British Tennis Award.
The 4th year of the British Tennis Awards launched on 3rd Sept, and in Shropshire we are looking for this year’s true stars, those people who make it possible for us to play the game. The successful awards last year showcased some of the amazing volunteers the County has, but we know there are even more out there. We want to hear about them, tell their stories, sing their praises and thank them for all the work they for tennis in Shropshire.
This year the award categories are:
Volunteer of the Year
Young Person of the Year
Official of the Year
Competition of the Year
Lifetime Achievement Award
So if you know someone who fits the bill for the above and deserves to be nominated, fill in the short form and tell us why!
The form can be found here. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/N8X5F68
We have attached a couple of posters, visual aids and a guide to place in the clubhouse and post on to your members. All those nominated for an award will be invited to Tennis Shropshire's British AEGON Tennis Awards Dinner on 17th November sponsored by The Shrewsbury Club, where this year's winners will be announced. So it's time again to acknowledge the support our wonderful volunteers give to our sport. Note though that nominations in Shropshire must be in by 14th October.
