Tennis Shropshire are delighted to once again be funding the Cadets & Futures programme, which is open to all juniors (14-17) who are members of a tennis club in Shropshire.

The Cadets & Futures programme is a series of 8 workshops aimed to give you different experiences around various roles in tennis.

These include:

Organising & running a competition

Setting up an open day

How to be an effective assistant Major events (in conjunction with W100 Shrewsbury)

Disability Tennis

Understanding different varieties of tennis (walking tennis, pickleball, LTA Youth)

Careers in tennis

Getting ready for your assistant course (safeguarding, first aid, play test)

Alongside the programme there will be various opportunities to volunteer with Tennis Shropshire at some of our key events and accumulate hours throughout the year which you are able to exchange for funding towards future qualifications.
