Social competition signals start of Wrekin & Telford Tennis Community's summer season

Wrekin & Telford Tennis Community's summer season got under way when the club staged the first of its social competitions, which was won by Andy Hope and Roheel Arshad.

The event, which attracted players of different abilities, was played in good spirits despite the inclement weather.

Afternoon tea and a glass of Pimm's for the players added to the feelgood factor.

The community club uses the excellent facilities indoors and outdoors at Telford Tennis Centre in Oakengates and also park courts, including the grass courts at Bowring Park, Wellington.

Always keen to hear from anyone wanting to play tennis, a number of sessions take place each week, with age and ability no barrier to involvement.
