The County Tennis Championships is our flagship event exclusively for tennis players of any ability who meet the County eligibility criteria of either living in the county or being born there. The Championships is always held in the last week of August and is the busiest week in the competitive calendar right across the county, with more players competing during this week than any other.

This annual event at the end of August is hosted by two adjacent clubs in Shrewsbury - Shrewsbury Lawn Tennis Club and Town Walls Tennis Club. This prestigious competition features singles and doubles events for boys and girls in a number of age classes, from eight and under up to 18 and under. Open adult and seniors players also have the opportunity to pick up a racket competing in singles, doubles and mixed doubles competitions across a range of age groups.
