Exciting chance for Shropshire tennis clubs to take part in fun Pro-Am event during UK Pro League Finals Week

Rising British tennis players, along with more established players, will be heading to Shropshire to compete in the UK Pro League Finals Week between November 8-14.

The winners of last year’s inaugural event were Emma Raducanu and Liam Broady, so this is a tournament that will attract a lot of top British players and will be televised live on BT Sport.

WE WANT YOU TO GET INVOLVED AND WE HAVE A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUR CLUB TO ENTER A TEAM IN A UNIQUE PRO-AM EVENT

As part of the UK Pro League Finals Week, we are holding a Pro-Am event on the evening of Thursday, November 11.The emphasis will be on creating a fun event involving four players from four clubs who will play a knockout event with a Pro on the stadium show courts at The Shrewsbury Club.

Don’t worry about your playing standards. We are creating a welcoming event for players of all standards. You don’t need to be a regular in your club side to be part of this event.

To qualify, we are asking clubs to commit to entering four players to represent your club and sell a minimum of 30 tickets at £15 each for the Thursday night to cheer your club on.

The ticket will include entry to watch the UK Pro League matches that day, street food and live music in The Shrewsbury Club’s marquee where there will be a pop-up bar too.

It should be a great tennis event and we expect you to have a lot of interest from your members who would love to play with a professional. You could start the fun at your club by holding a draw or a tournament to choose who will represent you club.

In order to secure your place at this unique event please can you reply to [email protected] confirming that you want your club to be involved by no later than Friday, October 15.
Once we have received all the replies back from those clubs who want to enter a team we will then hold a draw to select which clubs will play.

With street food, live music, the best British tennis players in action and a chance to watch local club players paired up with a pro, at a cost of only £15 per person, we think this promises to be an excellent evening of entertainment and we look forward to receiving your reply.
