County coaches: upcoming coach forum and disability CPD sessions in Shropshire
Coach forum 20th November @ The Shrewsbury Club
The LTA are running a coach forum on the 20th November.
The session will run from 9.00AM - 1.00PM, costs £25 and will give 4 CPD credits and covers the following:
On-court session (2 hours)
The on-court session is titled 'Doubles drills: attacking and defending'. The session will involve a series of doubles exercises co-written by doubles expert Louis Cayer, taken from the British Tennis doubles system, to develop attacking and defending skills for competitive players. In addition to getting some fresh new exercises from tutors, coaches will be challenged to work together to adapt and create their own exercises in a specific game situation based on the LTA's tactical development framework.
Off-court session (1 hour 30 minutes)
The off-court session will be an interactive coach-to-coach discussion session. The main theme will be 'Developing yourself and your business'. Coaches will have the chance to discuss their own personal development and how to grow their business.
We hope these professional coach discussions will leave coaches informed on best practice, connected, motivated and engaged for the year ahead.
It would be great to see as many Shropshire coaches there as possible.
